形容词和副词的比较等级
一、概述
大多数形容词副词有三种形式,原级,比较级
和最高级, 以表示形容词或副词说明的性质
在程度上的不同。
①形容词或副词的原级: 是词典中出现的形
容词或副词的原形。
②比较级：是由原级转化而来：一般是在
原级后面加er,或在形容词或副词前加more
，也有一些不规则的转化。用比较级表示
两者之间的比较。
③最高级：是指三者或三者以上的比较。
最高级的形式是在原级形容词或副词上加
~est或在形容词或副词前加most，也有
一些不规则变化。形容词的最高级前面要
加定冠词the，副词最高级前面的the可以
省略。
二、构成
形容词和副词的比较等级的构成分为规则
变化和不规则变化两种：
⒈规则变化，如下表
注：①绝大多数单音节词和部分特殊的双
音节词在词尾加-er构成比较级,加~est构
成最高级；
②大部分双音节词,“形容词(副词)+ly
”构成的副词（early除外）, 加~ing, ~ed
的分词形容词，词尾是-able, -ible, -ful,的
词，所有的多音节词,前面加more构成比
较级,加 the most构成最高级。
⒉不规则变化，如下表
注：① further不仅可以指“距离更远，
还可指“程度更深”。
如：further study(进修)
further education(继续教育)
further information (进一步的信息)
② elder仅用于同辈之间的排行，
如: elder sister(姐姐) elder brother (哥哥)
三、形容词和副词的比较等级用法
⒈原级比较: as …… as “与……一样”
as与as中间接形容词或副词的原级，在否
定句中，第一个 as 也可换成 so。
如：He is as tall as you.
He doesn study as/ so hard as his
brother. 他学习不如他弟弟努力。
▲ 表示涉及数量或程度，可用“as much
+不可数名词+as”和“as many+可数名词
复数+as”。
如：He doesn’t pay as much tax as we
do / as us. 他没我们交的税款多。
▲在第一个as前可加表示倍数的词，
如： twice, three times 等
Our room is twice as big as yours.
我们的房间是你们的两倍大。
⒉比较级比较:
①“形容词/ 副词比较级+than”的结构。
如：I am better than I was yesterday.
Math is less interesting than English.
数学不如英语有兴趣。
▲比较级前可加程度状语：
much, still.even,far,a little, three years
a bit, rather, any, far, a great/good
deal,a lot,stil, even等用于比较级之前,表
示程度。分数或有关长度、时间、重量等
名词短语通常放在比较级前,也可由by引
出而置于比较级之后。
Its a little colder today than it was
yesterday. 今天比昨天稍冷一点。
This shirt is much more expensive than
that one. 这件衬衣要比那件贵得多。
He is older than me by two years.
他比我大两岁。
②要使比较对象一致,当被比双方的定语不
同常需使用代词that, those
The climate of Kunning is better than
that of Beijing
昆明的气候比北京的气候好。
③表示“(两个中)较……的那个”时:比较
级前加常加the:
He is the taller of the two boys.
他是两个男孩中较高的那个。
④可用比较级形式表示最高级概念,关键是
要用other或else或否定词等词把一事物(或
人)与其他同类事物(或人)相分离
He is taller than any other boy/
anybody else.
他比别的任何一个男孩(别的任何人)都高。
Nobody is taller than him. 没人比他更高。
⑤“比较级+and+ 比较级”表示“越来越
It becomes warner and warmer when
spring comes.
春天来了，天气越来越暖和。
▲加more构成比较形式的,只重复more,
不重复原形容词或副词,
如：more and more beautiful
越来越美丽
⑥“the+比较级……，the+比较级……
表示“越……,越……”
如：The earlier you start，the sooner
you will be back
你动身越早,回 来得越早。
⑦特殊词组 : no( …… ) more than
和……一样不……（两者都否定）
not( …… ) more than
不如……;没有到……程度(前者不如后者)Jack is no more diligent than John.
杰克不勤奋,约翰也不勤奋。
(杰克不比约翰勤奋。)
▲ no more than+数词:
至多……,仅仅(强调少)
Jack is not more diligent than John.
杰克不如约翰勤奋。
▲not …… more than+数词:
不多于,不超过(不强调少,不带有感情色彩)
⑧降级比较用“less+原级形容词或副词(不
论是单音节还是多音节的)+than从句”
Today is less cold than yesterday.
今天 没有昨天冷 .
Maths is less interesting than English.
数学不如英语有趣。
⑨否定词+比较级
该结构用否定形式表示肯定意义。要掌
握该结构的用法,须注意：
▲该结构多为“cant/ couldn +比较级”
的形式。
I can agree with you more
我再同意你的意见不过了。
(或:我完全同意你的意见。)
The weather couldnt be worse.
天气再糟糕不过了。
▲no / nothing/ nobody.…+比较级 +
than 意为“没有……更/ 最……”
Nothing is better than a hot drink on a
cold winter day.
在寒冷的冬季没有什么比一杯热饮更好
了。
There is no greater love than that of a
man who lays down his life for his
friends.
为朋友而放弃生命的爱是最伟大的爱。
⑩ 以-or结尾的形容词
一些以or结尾的形容词用“原级+介词to”
表示比较,而不用than。
如： inferior 劣等的,次的
superior 较好的,优于……
junior 资历较浅的
senior 资格较老的
prior 在……之前
He is superior to Mr. Zhang in
chemistry.
他在化学上优于张先生。
⒊最高级比较
① 形容词和副词的最高级表示在一定范围
内某类事物或某人在性质、高低或大小等
方面程度最高或最低。本结构意为“……
之中最……”,用于三者或三者以上的比较
。同类范畴的比较范围用of，不同类用in
表示环境范围，或用among表示对象范围。
He talks( the) least and does( the) most
in his class.
He is the fastest runner of the three
boys.
He is the tallest of/ among the boys.
他是男孩中最高的。
② 作表语的形容词最高级前,如果不是和别
人(或别物)相比,常不加the:
We are busiest on Monday.
我们周一最忙。
③ by far/ the first/ second用于形容词的最高级前。
This is by far the best.
这是到目前为止最好的一个。
The Yellow River is the second longest
river in China.
黄河是中国第二长河。
④ 最高级形式有时并不表示最高级概念,它
只表示非常或“在很大程度上”,这时前边
一般不加the
Its a most important question.
这是个非常重要的问题。
⑤ 表示“最高程度”的形容词，
如: excellent，extreme，perfect,
favourite 等，没有最高级，也不能用比较
级．
⑥ 形容词最高级修饰作表语或介词宾语的
名词、代词时，被修饰的词往往省略．
如：He is the tallest(boy) in his class．
