琼莱调水工程

Jonglei Canal概述 为了解决苏德沼泽地区因蒸发而产生的水量损失问题兴建了琼莱调水工程。工程以琼莱以南70km的博尔作为起点,至白尼罗河与索巴特河汇合处马拉卡勒。运河全长350km,底宽46~52m,深4.5m,边坡1∶2,总共挖掘土方8700万m3。引水流量230m3/s,相当于杰贝勒河在蒙加拉平均流量的四分之一。工程分三期施工。第一期工程于1978年6月开始。除开挖运河外,在运河首尾分别建节制闸以控制进出水量。运河竣工后由于苏德沼泽地区蒸发失水量减少,尼罗河在马拉卡勒的年径流量将增加47亿m3,由埃及、苏丹两国平分。 琼莱运河的经济效益十分明显:①净增水量可使埃及和苏丹的耕地增加30万hm2,并可增加下游水电站的发电量。②运河和宰拉夫河之间地区可免遭河水泛滥淹没。③改善沿河地区牧草生长,并提供永久性水源,从而扩大放牧面积。④开辟新的内河航线,缩短朱巴-马拉勒尔航程约300km。还可修建马拉卡勒到博尔的全天候公路,有助于苏丹南部地区的开发。 工程产生的环境影响也不容忽视:①原有水文情况发生了改变;②减少了沼泽放牧,影响当地部落的游牧生活;③对渔业、水生生物、虫害和疾病具有长期影响。
