雅思口语里面这个foreign food最好选一种一听名字就知道肯定不是中国菜的来说，例如pizza大家都知道是Italian food，泡菜Kimchi是韩国餐桌必备，炸鱼薯条fish and chips是英国名菜，菠萝炒饭是东南亚风味的泰国菜，还有什么焗蜗牛是法国经典料理。这些foreign food大家既熟悉，又不会跑题，所以推荐从他们下手。
今天给大家的参考素材是：日料铁板烧。
I’d like to talk about teppanyaki, which is a typical Japanese cuisine, or to be exact, a Japanese cooking method. The chef would prepare the dish in a hot iron plate in front of the guests, so we could see how the dishes are made, which is quite an unusual dining experience.
The most common ingredients are beef, shrimp, lobster, chicken, and assorted/various vegetables.
The last time I tried teppanyaki was about a year ago when I was travelling in Japan with my little cousin. It was the most authentic tenppanyaki I’ve ever tasted. I mean, we have lots of Japanese restaurants in China, but none of them could offer those dishes like the one I visited in Japan.
That was the most famous local restaurant in Tokyo. It’s impossible to get a table during dinner time without a reservation. We had a long wait before we got our seats, but it was totally worth the wait.
We were only one meter away from the chef, he’s super skillful, I mean, he could turn those raw materials into mouth-watering dishes in just a few minutes. The most memorable dish was grilled lobster tails. The texture of the meat was so smooth and soft, it was like it could melt in my mouth. Now just the thought of it could still make my mouth water.
If I had the chance, I would definitely go back to that restaurant again.
