We make pieces in small batches, each one is unique. Every piece has its own personal details, nothing is uniform -- the way the glaze breaks on the lip of a bowl, or the slightly uneven edge of a plate.

Our studio is a laboratory for distilling shapes, finding the simplest expression of a platter, a bowl, a teacup.

主创介绍
Loren & Aliza Simons
HENRY STREET STUDIO由布鲁克林的母女团队Loren和Aliza Simons于创立。HENRY STREET STUDIO was started in by Brooklyn-based mother-daughter team Loren and Aliza Simons.
两人很早就接触到陶瓷艺术：Loren在成为大师之前花费大学的时间潜心学习陶瓷，而Aliza最初在小学里开始学习粘土。Aliza说服Loren回到陶器工作室共事，创造独一无二的陶瓷制品。
Both of us came to ceramics early: Loren spent her college days making ceramics before becoming a prop stylist, while Aliza first started exploring clay in elementary school. But it wasn’t until Aliza convinced Loren to get back into the pottery studio that we discovered a shared visual language.
团队协作是工作的重心，两人交替制作; 每件作品都是经过两双手的创造。
We work as a collaborative team, with one of us finishing the other"s work; each piece is the work of two pairs of hands.

Our ceramics combine organic forms with delicate finishing, allowing for custom-mixed glazes to highlight shape. The textures and clean lines create simple, elegant dishes for both serving and everyday use. Each piece is handbuilt or hand-thrown.
工作室命名由来纽约萨格港的小房子，在那里度过了许多快乐的夏天，制作许多陶瓷和泥塑。
Our name comes from our small house in Sag Harbor, New York where we spent many happy summers making pots and clay sculptures.
